Winter Brides

Updated: Dec 22, 2019

Winter weddings offer a beautiful backdrop, evergreens, red berries, sparkling decorations and twinkling lights, a recipe for the perfect atmosphere.

Over the years I have seen brides opt for illusion lace sleeves, fur stoles and even bridal biker jackets, the options for style are endless over this romantic season, especially when teamed with seasonal flower crowns or vintageĀ hairpieces.

Throughout the winter months the trend for bridal makeup tends to take a turn, with the introduction of festive red lips paired withĀ shimmering gold tones for eyes.Ā I absolutely love this versatile look as not only does it suit most skin tones but it can be created both natural and intense to provide each individual brideĀ with the look they desire.

There are some amazing makeup products on the market to help brides get that 'glow' onĀ their big day, some of my favourites include Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, this is fantastic on its own or mixed with Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation.

For soft, natural contour I like to use Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow, this gives the effect without looking too heavy, perfect for brides day or night.

There are so many gorgeous Eyeshadow Palettes to choose from at this time of year, all adding a little touch of sparkle! Urban Decay, Huda and MAC to name a few but as I am talking Charlotte Tilbury in my blog today we'll round the set off by suggesting the ever famous Pillow Talk or the stunning new Easy Eye Palette in Charlotte Darling, a set that covers glowing golds to smokey eye.Ā

And last but definitely not least, those old hollywood lips, for me my two favourite bridal red lipsticks have to be MAC Ruby Woo and Charlotte Tilbury Dangerous Liasion. Both lipsticks are deep and long lasting, just what every bride needs when spending the day sipping wedding Champagne.

Here's to all you gorgeous brides and winter weddings!!Ā

xx
